Skimmer Beast sono speciali schiumatoi studiati per avere un rendimento elevato. La miscelazione dell’aria con l’acqua
avviene prima dell’ingresso nella pompa così che l’azione della speciale girante a pettine crea una quantità impressionante
di minuscole bollicine. Il sistema ad iniezione brevettato convoglia queste bollicine nella camera di contatto dello
schiumatoio dove rimangono per una certo lasso di tempo grazie alla corrente creata dell’iniettore. Le bollicine hanno così
il tempo di raccogliere le proteine ed altri residui organici, sulla loro superficie rimuovendoli, sotto forma di schiuma, prima
che si decompongano inquinando l’acqua.
Skimmer Beast are protein skimmers designed for high performance. Air and water are mixed together by a very highly
efficient, patented Injection system. Water and Air are drawn into the Inlet of the pump, where the special multi-comp
Impeller chops the air into very fine bubbles. Huge quantities of air can be mixed with water very efficiently this way. The
water is pumped into the reaction chamber, where high contact time is observed due to the very fine bubbles and its counter
current design. The very fine bubbles held in the reaction tube, collect proteins and other organic compounds on their
surface. That’s why having very fine bubbles increases its performance; there is increased contact time by having finer air
mix. The proteins and organic matter collect into a scum and are pushed upward into the collection cup. The Collection cup is
easily removed for cleaning or it has a self emptying drain plug. Removing such waste through the use of a protein skimmer,
increases water quality. Organic waste is removed before it has a chance to break down and pollute the water.
